Lecture theatres, training rooms and conference halls need writing space, fast class changeover and rows that still look finished at the end of term. Send a floor plan or a photo of the existing rake and we will price the layout.

Writing space, aisle flow, a finished hall

A lecture hall is judged at 09:00 on a Tuesday: can students write, can they leave without blocking the next class, and do the rows still sit straight after a year of traffic? We set seat centres, tablet arms or linked desks, and aisle widths around the room you already have, including wheelchair bays and a clear front row for presenters.

Steel frames and commercial upholstery are specified so joints do not become a maintenance cycle after the first season. Modular parts mean a damaged pan can be swapped without stripping the block. If you are comparing suppliers, send a drawing so the layout, not only the unit price, can be compared.

Tablets and desks

Continuous writing surfaces for universities, or tablet arms where the room also hosts conferences. Cabling for projectors is allowed for so the first week of term is not trailing leads in the walkway.

Tip-up and beam seats

Folding pans keep aisles clear between sessions. Beam-mounted flip-up seats suit covered courts and grandstands when the brief is capacity rather than a carpeted interior.

Refit existing risers

If the hall is being refurbished, we work around the rake you have. A phone photo of the empty room is enough to recommend centres, tablets or fixed desks.

Universities, colleges and training centres

These rooms survive daily lectures, not occasional events. We pair seats with long desks, set aisle widths for class changeover, and keep accessible bays on the aisles. Facilities managers usually arrive with a seat count and a date. Architects usually arrive with a drawing. Either is enough to start.

Conference halls, chambers and school auditoriums

Not every auditorium is a university lecture theatre. Conference venues in Johannesburg need numbered aisles and a front row that still works for a panel. Municipal chambers and board-style halls need a quieter density than a 400-seat class. School auditoriums often share the room with exams, prize-givings and hired events, so tip-up pans and a robust fabric grade matter more than a decorative shell.

How long from quote to install?
